In June 2013, MIF made its first investment in Aronija, a company for production and trade of organic, natural and healthy food, including production of whole grain cakes and pastries from whole grain flour according to original recipes, without the use of preservatives. As a result of MIF’s investment, the company significantly increased the number of its sales outlets in Skopje and throughout Macedonia, while achieving significant sales growth of 131% in 2014. In September 2014, in order to support the rapid growth of the company, a new, larger fund, the private investment fund SEAF Macedonia II, entered with a new investment. In September 2017, MIF sold its minority stake in Aronija and made an exit from the investment.
In February 2014, MIF realized the investment in Geonet, a company engaged in implementation of advanced GPS solutions that allow tracking, monitoring, traffic planning and increased security of the vehicles of the company’s fleet. In order to further develop its products, as well as to bring new products to the market, in April 2018 the private investment fund SEAF Macedonia II entered with subsequent investment in Geonet. In March 2021, MIF sold its minority stake in Geonet and made an exit from the investment.
In February 2014, MIF invested in Extra Fungi, a company for purchasing, processing and exporting wild mushrooms, forest fruits (currants, blueberries and rose hips), fruits (plums, strawberries, quinces and apples), as well as other agricultural products onto foreign markets. Recognizing the growth potential of the company, in June 2019 the private equity fund SEAF Macedonia II entered with additional investment. In June 2020, MIF sold its minority stake in Extra Funghi and made an exit from the investment.
Eko Plast Tehnika
In June 2014, MIF realized its investment in Eкo Plast Tehnika, a company in gthe business of plastic (PET bottles) waste recycling, which through adequate technological process extracts PET flakes. Eko Plast is a leader in the PET plastic recycling industry in Macedonia, with a continuous increase of its production capacity. Following MIF’s investment, the company achieved significant sales growth. In July 2019, the private equity fund SEAF Macedonia II, with an additional investment, supported the growth of the company. In March 2019, MIF sold its minority stake in Eko Plast and made its exit from the investment.
In September 2014, MIF made the investment in Certiadria, a company engaged in implementation of professional education and provision of certification services and solutions in the field of IT in the Adriatic region. In June 2019, MIF sold its minority stake in Certiadria and made its exit from the investment.
In August 2016, MIF realized the investment in Publikum Art, a company engaged in production of urban and modern “items for book shops with motives from books”, including coffee mugs, candles, T-shirts, bags, aprons, cook books etc., printed with unique designs and quotes from famous books.
In April 2018, MIF realized the investment in Akron Staklo, a company whose main activity is glass recycling and production of glass granulate.
In February 2019, MIF realized the investment in Paket Market, a company engaged in sales of fast moving consumer goods, with provision of door-to-door delivery service – online supermarket. In September 2021, MIF sold its minority stake in Paket Market and made an exit from the investment.
